Nominator's project description
| Kevin Burrage is well known internationally for his outstanding research in applied and computational mathematics. His work includes developing novel modelling and computational methods for solving fundamental problems in computational biology and computational physiology. These problems are characterized by variability and heterogeneity manifest in time and space. In Germany, he continues his research to support personalized medicine by exploring how cellular and tissue structure affects physiological function across multiple spatio-temporal scales. |
